Now I am in training for the Natural History Museum's Dinosaur Hall and whatever else is required. I have been coming to the museum since pre-school (when it used to have a mummy I was convinced was out to get me!) and am a volunteer, at the moment.  It could change and I may earn the blue shirt of staff. Whatever God wants for me will and is better than any plans of mine.

When I was a small boy reading books on dinosaurs they were considered slow, stupid, cold blooded, and dragged their tails.
Now, with more enlightened science, the new reptiles, complete with a cool jazz rhythm of damped high-hat cymbals, is active, warm-blooded (in some cases), intelligent, hard fur, feathers and no longer drags its tail.

It walks down New York's Central Avenue with a baseball cap turned backwards, greets one and all with a dap, and wears urban fashion. This new dinosaur is not dumb animal. Some may still claim its our ancestor, but now dinosaurs and merely popular, they are cool.

But are they truly gone? For centuries people have been seeing reptiles that defy archeological calendars. Some are enormous! Other small. If I saw a 3 foot long, green reptile running across a Texas road on two legs with its still tail behind it, what should I call it? See a two winged animal bigger than any known bird without feathers sitting atop a telephone pole and its head is shaped like a pick-ax, what should I call it?

While the anatomical ideas about dinosaurs have died a quite death, just when dinosaurs perished and what they were or are is much harder to kill in scientific, academic, political and religious circles. So, while their tails are show to be dragging on the ground no longer, what is still dragging is what they were, and when they were supposed to be were not.
